A Series of about 1000 drawings started in 2012 and completed in 2015 studying the autonomy of form and line. Viewers were encouraged to view the drawings openly and find their own familiar forms within the work, like seeing shapes in the clouds in the sky. Spiegel inspiration was the literal interaction between artist and audience, not a metaphoric or symbolic translation but a juvenile interaction with the work and viewers imagination. The show was held at As Issued in Costa Mesa, Ca and included live drawings and communal discussion about the work. Sets was curated and document in a 50 page zine sold at the event and online in limited quantities. We appreciate everyone who came out and participated, and As Issued for graciously hosting and believing in our ideas.
